Less Than Two Weeks For The Austin Show

I hope everyone is ready for Gord to make his swing through Texas. I'm counting the days and have tickets for the Austin and Houston shows. I talked to Gord and Barry Harvey two years ago about playing Texas and they both said that Texas was a very tough market. Gord was last in Texas in Houston in 1994, so this should be interesting. I first saw Gord when I was 14 at the Houston Music Hall in February 1978, then again in April 1981. At his show in Houston in 1987, the Arena Theater was barely half full, so I understand where he is coming from.

I hope to meet some of the other Lightheads at the Austin and Houston shows. I'll be one of the younger ones with sandy/blonde hair, at 44, at the show.

Hope there is a good turnout at both venues.

at the present rate it looks like this will be the first year since 2003 that we will not get at least one fix!And may well have to twiddle our thumbs until May 2008
Why don't you Texans try to arange a pre concert dinner at a suitable venue and all contact each other PDQ
I tried to suggest to Melissa Joe from Austin that she organise something but I think she took it that I meant at her house.
Previously I have attended very enjoyable pre concert get togethers in Hamilton ON November 2004;Cerritos CA and Las Vegas NE inApril 2005, Glendale PA, Northampton MA and Portland ME in 2005, Concord NH and Burlington VT in 2006 and four times in Toronto (1999,2001,2005 and the last one in November 2006)
a quick search in the corfid directory for members who declared that their location is Texas shows:-

I strongly suggest that one of you takes the bull by the horns; choose a venue decide a time (6 or 6:30PM perhaps) then announce the details here and also try to send corfid Private Messages to the above referenced corfid members

One refinement that worked a treat at Hamilton was to devise and issue customised badges to all who came to the pre concert dinner
