I hope everyone is ready for Gord to make his swing through Texas. I'm counting the days and have tickets for the Austin and Houston shows. I talked to Gord and Barry Harvey two years ago about playing Texas and they both said that Texas was a very tough market. Gord was last in Texas in Houston in 1994, so this should be interesting. I first saw Gord when I was 14 at the Houston Music Hall in February 1978, then again in April 1981. At his show in Houston in 1987, the Arena Theater was barely half full, so I understand where he is coming from.
I hope to meet some of the other Lightheads at the Austin and Houston shows. I'll be one of the younger ones with sandy/blonde hair, at 44, at the show. Hope there is a good turnout at both venues. John Ditmars |
