I Was Wondering.
I was just looking through Waylon Jennings version of For Lovin Me and it got me thinking over the years there've probably been many people who have heard these versions of Gordon's song and perhaps never knew he wrote and even recorded them.
Perhaps some of you may have said to people you know so and so was written by Lightfoot and find it interesting if not suprising.

Re: I Was Wondering.
I knew that Sara M. recorded the song because she included it on her Christmas CD a few years ago.

Re: I Was Wondering.
hey pasketfan, Sarah recorded SFAWN about 20 years ago for soundtrack… I didnt hear it until I bought her B sides album in 1996 … i guess she actually made most of her $ (and Gord too!) when she revived it for her Xmas album
maybe I'm thinking of the Facebook discussion, but i thought we chatted about the Waylon cover a few months ago hear as well… the guy who uploaded it did a nice job on quality preservation and synch… need more like that

Re: I Was Wondering.
as far as the comment, that one and the Ribbon of Darkness release by Marty Robbins are the ones that have many folks surprised they are Lightfoot tunes
I suppose some may think that Early Morning Rain is by Ian Tyson (or PPM)
the same way that many are surprised a few Gord covers are not written by him… Changes, On Susan's Floor, My Love for You, Auctioneer

Very nice! BTW, you (and the other posters here) can call me Gail, if you'd like. That's my real name.
