Err Umm whilst not wishing to denigrate INS's perspicacity on finding this picture I must point out that I could of sworn that I had seen that very nice picture before so I checked my profile on the old board and selected "view my recent posts" (a facility that is nowhere near as obvious to access as it used to be)
I remembered that I had used the word "geezers" but the old boards search told me no results,because I then realised my posting I had in mind was actually made after Florian's change to the new board
However searching for "geezer" here on the new board then found an alleged 8 results but not the one I was looking for at all at all
google did much better because a google for "corfid geezer" brought up

Incidentlly the last posting to that thread was a direct copy of one by RM from
an unlikely and obviously unwanted (and probably unwashed for that matter) member calling itself
"asian black porn video"
who is credited with over 200 postings but going to

shows no postings at all at all just a rude web site link
that redirects to another such. very strange and disturbing
now when our moderator is back from her warm travels I wonder if she could remove that unsavoury member??

I must've missed your previous post--I certainly would've remembered the photo because it's a classic. If you say that you posted it here first, your word is good enough for me. After all, you are a "senior" member, while I've been classified as "imported"--which is ironic, because you seem to be the "imported" one.

Very droll INS. I had assumed that you had for some unimaginable reason amended your display name yourself and wondered
why. but are you saying that it was done automatically by the forum??
Perhaps Florian whilst copying importing" member profiles prefixed all displayed/member names "imported" as a temporary meaasure then omitted to rename you. Florian??
Whilst on this subject Florian could you possibly explain the criteria that makes some of us old fogies a "Senior" member .
It cannot be based on ones joining date or frequency of posting because I note from its profile at:-

that the 46 year old new "member" who probably robotically chose the very stoopid display name of "Asian black porn video"
who "joined" as recently as August 8th and actually has posted just the once on:-
trying to refind the posting but Char may have already deleted it??
is shown on its profile as a Senior Member with 0 posts as yet which is plainly untrue

OK I cannot let this one slip by, and must post a few comments here.

WILLIE & GORDON!!! The only thing better than that photo would be me in the middle. They are MY 2 GUYS! I have loved Willie even longer than I have loved Gord, although I now love them both equally. I am always on the look-out for Willie Concerts, and in fact last 4th of July (2006) my husband and I flew to Texas for the sole reason of attending Willie's 4th of July picnic. Some of you may remember my previous posts about that event and my love for Willie.

Anyhoo, regarding the photo and where and when it was taken. It could have just been something dug up from archives that was used to go along with the story of Gord & family visiting Willie & family at Willie's recent concert in Toronto. I agree that it is a bit deceiving, but TV newscasts do it all the time.

With regard to the whole senior member/junior member thing. I was very pleased to see that I am a senior member, although I am certainly not in the same class of characters as Char, Cathy, John, etc. However, if one's member status were based on the degree of love, affection and respect felt for Gordon Lightfoot, then I would humbly accept the honor of being considered a Senior Member on Corfid.
