Did Gordon record any Christmas albums I wonder?

I have always wondered did Gord ever record any Christmas material? How nice it would be if he would record one I'll tell you. By the way I don't know whether this is true but I did hear sometime ago that Gord wass very ill and not performing, is this true and if so if he feeling a lot better now?I have always wanted to write to him and I know he lives somewhere here in Canada doesn't he? Gord lives in Toronto.
He took ill in Sept.2002 and after numerous surgeries and recoveries he had his first full concerts in Hamilton a couple of weekends ago. They were dedication/fundraisers for the hospital in Hamilton where his life was saved.
Inspirational, miraculous and emotional! He was in great voice and spirit and looked fab.

I thought the "Auld Lang Syne" was to ring out the old millenium, which would make it later than 1993. Gord's was to be the last voice heard in the old and the first heard in the new - for CBC, IIRC?

It was actually the ringing in the first day of the last year of the old millenium (thus the end of the 20th century i.e. on 1 January 1999). In retrospect I guess that way the producers avoided the then raging argument of whether the new millenium/21st century would start on January 1st 2000(incorrect )
or 1 January 2001 (mathematicaly and unimpeachably correct)
By the way i understand that Maheen being visually impaired is unable to see and appreciate Jimmy Jones' sterling efforts to devise s fake GL Christmas album amongst other hilarious creations.I'll have to transcribe the song titles and assorted duetting artists for Maheen

I'm glad to hear that Gord is doing a lot better now and I am sure that he really must have been touched by this beautiful concert a few weekends ago. I truly hope I can write to him someteime for I don't think there are many 20 year olds out there who appreciates his music and the old time country legends. You all are such great people I am so blessed to be a part of this forum!
