I arrived in Toronto about 6:30 lastnight with my camera in tow and freshly charged batteries... :D
Thankfully it didn't rain and the winds weren't that horrible waiting outside.
Met up with some of the members here, Charlene, Jenney, Brink, John plus a couple of others.. it was great seeing you all again!( I'm gonna have to find a way to get on the backstage list lol) I was about 2 mins from leaving the stage door as I had been out there 90 minutes shivering however once I saw Barry Harvey come out with Gord's guitars I figured it wouldn't be long.
As far as the concert goes, it was probably the best one I've been to. With songs being picked from all of his albums except Salute. He played the radio staples and he picked some surprising ones I haven't heard before in concert. I was pleasantly surprised to hear Sea of Tranquility, The Watchman's Gone and Hangdog Hotel Room :D
A lot of songs from Shadows were played. I didn't bother to try and remember the set list. None of the pics I took of the concert turned out, I was too far back from the stage to get any decent shots.
Anyway the best part of the day was after the concert... I finally got a better pic of me and Gord Lightfoot, plus I was lucky to get photos of Rick and Barry Keane.. :D I also spoke briefly with Marilyn Haynes before I left. She was really really friendly.
I spoke with Barry Harvey a couple of times during the night, he's a really nice guy!
Well on to the photos!

Gord H.,
Sweet stuff. The pictures with the guys are great.
Do you still have your wallet ? Lightfoot has a bit of a mischievious look on his face.
Thanks.

I'm from Brantford, I'm an hour away from Toronto.
Well it wasn't that cold outside, just that if yer not moving 90 minutes in one place makes ya go brrr. I've waited for the guys previously in colder temps than lastnight.
LOL yes I still have my wallet... no he didn't.. I keep mine in my front pocket
I know I'm not the "worthy" one in the pics... the guys from the band are. Gord still finds it amusing my name is also Gord... in fact all the guys did. I told Rick when I met him backstage my name is one he won't forget!
When I was heading back to the Subway I passed Rick and he hollered out " Have a goodnight Gord!"

You know, they're work stands just fine on it's own merit... but still I find stories like these gratifying to know the guys whose work I admire so much, are as friendly and as personable as they are. Pardon the redundancy, but thanks again...

Hey Gord it was great to see you last night! I'm thrilled with your pics and that your time waiting was so totally worth it!
alright!!!!!!!!!!
That 'other' Gord guy looks a wee bit mischevious for some reason...That is how was smiling every night!
Nobody had a better time at Massey than The Man himself.....he seemed to love every damned minute and we loved seeing it!

I think I took the shot of Gord with Gord LOL ... and thanks to the other Gord for taking a shot of me with Gord. Ouch, does that make any sense? Anyway, I managed to get pics of me with everyone but Terry, but still have to figure out how to get them posted here (I know, it's probably something I shouldn't mention LOL). I also got 3-4 minutes of backstage video, I'll have to figure out a way to upload it to YouTube or something.

Hey T.G.
Sir John gives his "crash coarse" in picture posting in a recent thread entitled "Just got back" last post date on the 19th.
It's really simple, step by step type instruction. Trust me, you can do this!!! I did, you can too!
I like step 23 best... you'll see.
