Which was Gords greatest year?
"70" His international breakthrough.
"72" Releasing two classic albums in the same year,DQ&ODR.(some artists never manage one in their entire career).
"82" The year he beat the booze.
I'd better stop i'm answering my own question....
Which year do you think?
Frank.

"38" The year he was destined to be born.
So that he could make the inspirational music to touch our young lives, years later.

Greatest year as hits go was 1974. Everyone was a Gordon Lightfoot fan. Every band played their version of Sundown on Friday and Saturday when we went dancing. As far as I am concerned every year I have listened to him since "Remember Me" (I'm the one who loves you) has been a great year. Through the good and bad, ups and downs Gord has been there to help me through those times. When I am happy it is him who I listen to and when I am sad, again it is him who picks me up and gets me going. No one can do it like he does.
