Char emailed me this pic and I figured that I would post it so everybody could see it and would save Char from emailing it to everybody.

He looks fantastic and very healthy!

Superb! What a fantastic story, pic and terrific news! Where did he get all that hair? I look terrible after surgery, he just looks better.

He does look grreat! I can't tell he was even sick.
He does look a little different from the photos taken of his younger self though.
I'd be surprised if he didn't make it back before the end of 2003

I think if he says 18 months, he means it. No way will he come back until he feels he's as close to 100% as he can possibly be. He's too much the perfectionist, and doesn't want to disappoint his fans with a lesser effort. Don't forget he still has 2 surgeries to face, including one that's 5 months off, so who knows what recuperation will be required from whatever he's having done.

Well, we know he wasn't smoking for at least 6 and a half weeks (lol).
On the plus side he had to be off the cigs for nearly 3 months, making quitting easier. He used to say he smoked to calm his nerves; having come through this I doubt he'll be that kind of nervous about anything much again.

No problem! It's good to finally hear from Gord. It's very encouraging to see him looking so good in that pic. I half expected to see an ill looking Lightfoot but instead he looks quite spry and his color is perfect. Your right DMD3, you could not even tell that he was sick.
