Rules of the game: You can feel free to add a well thought of verse. At the end of November, we will have a vote on the top 4 verses written (we will have to use the honor system to vote). You CANT vote for your own verses written. When the 4 verses are democratically selected, the writers will be acreditted as the writers of the song. We can create a song title later. Here is the chorus:
Look into the mirror.
Tell me what you see.
Do those eyes reflect your soul.
Tell me darling, (do you want me.)
The last four words in the Chorus can be changed to fit your verse. Example: do you love me...Do you trust me...Can you forgive me etc..
Please write the entire chorus with your verse, with the small change you have made at the end of the Chorus. If you have any questions or ideas...lets have em!

Yes. The last time I shared some lyics I got ripped off.
I attended a Lightfoot concert several years. During intermission I was doodling on a napkin because I was bored. About the time I finished drawing my 3rd 3-D box, a very old, very short stout man walked by with a crumpled face and sat smack dab in front of me. No big deal right. Wrong. He was shoveling popcorn in his mouth and was making this digusting smack/pop sound as he was eating. As he would eat, he would sway back and forth and block my view. It was really annoying.
I drew a sketch of him and wrote these words underneath it. "Sway to the left, sway to the right when Uncle Toad ate it was not a pretty sight." The AC kicked on and blew my napkin out of sight. Never gave it another thought until I bought "Painter".

Watchman: wow...That is too coincidental. I wish I could do that on purpose and get GL to somehow get ahold of my lyrics. I would have a cool story like yours to tell, and I would know that my stuff was really out there.

If you people have any ideas to improve the Chorus slightly...we can work on that after the verses are done. I know its not the greatest chorus...but its a start. I'm not asking for alot of thought here...ok here is a Verse of my own (just making it up here)
...Verse 1
A King on a throne
beheld the treasures he owned
The mightiest was he
With his skills sharply honed
He still couldn't sew
the seeds of love...she...
was a farmers daughter
just as pure as the water
and eyes as blue as the sea
From the east,they sought her
Then finally bought her.
Honor lost for duty.
When the King heard, he faught her
captives and got her
safely away and free.
The fire is strong
but something is wrong
He kneels before her and plees...
Chorus:
Look into the mirror
Tell me what you see
Do those eyes reflect your soul
Tell me darling, (can you ever trust me)

One of you is jokin'
The other one is smokin'
No one else is talkin'
I guess they've all gone walkin'
To see if they can find
The weed y'all left behind
Party on dude,
Bill

Workin' on mysteries without any clues
Workin' on our night moves.....
Ain't it funny how the night moves
When you just don't seem to have as much to lose
Strange how the night moves
With Autumn closing in.

Ahhhhhh...YOU GUYS...Ha ha ha. I'm givin ya' a BCL on that one (BIG CHINESE LAUGH). You know, the fake automatic rifle sounding laugh that you get when you tell the foreigner at the checkout counter in the variety store your latest joke. Ok, I'm sure a few of you are working on something this weekend. For the record, in my verse, "plees" should be pleas. BCL

OK, I'll take a stab. You guys have inspired me!!! Sorry the meter and rhyme pattern is different, but I guess I'm a one-trick pony when it comes to that sort of thing.
Bob Seeger on the stereo
of a Chevy truck in the drive
You'll separate the bass and treble
from the song that is our lives.
I'm not like a rock, my love
It's you that's against the wind
We've just similies and metaphors
to describe what we've been.
Look in the mirror
Tell me what you see
Do those eyes reflect your soul
Tell me darling where you will be.
