Default Hugh's Room-2014 Lightfoot Celebration-yr.12.
So, I went to the 12th annual LIGHTFOOT celebration this weekend, THE WAY WE FEEL and it was gobsmackingly amazing. Breathtaking in fact.
A Canadian musical legend onstage, his beautifully talented daughter sang a tune AND a Canadian astronaut was there and he sang too! It really was THE most epic night in 12 years. pics and videos to come..

assorted pics so far: Trent Severn onstage-Dayna Manning, Emm Gryner and Laura C.Bates. As well as Justin Rutledge speaking with Jane Harbury. David Matheson and Jason Fowler performing. Commander Chris Hadfield (Commander of the International Space Station and one awesome astronaut and person!) Daughter Lisa and me with the assorted hooligans - David Newland, Aengus Finnan, Jory Nash and Rachel Barreca. It was THE most epic night of all that has been presented. Everyone was in total agreement that it was 'out of this world!' More pics from various sources to come. It's hard to take photos while shooting video!! It was terrific to meet up with Todd from Milton too! I'm sure he has pics and comments to add!

nice! best pics yet of you guys teamed up must have figured out that flash optimal distance or something ...great keepsakes ...Gord will have to start dressing up more, even Aengus looks all cleaned up now, lol

AENGUS FINNAN - Affair on 8th Avenue and The Wreck of The Edmund Fitzgerald. When Aengus finished Affair I turned to watch Gordon get to his feet with his hands above his head giving Aengus a standing "O"...SO awesome.

i hope Aengus did his "Lightfoot" tribute song... nothing compares to his performing that gem...also, what songs did Hadfield do?

i'm not a big fan of Affair on 8th, but when Aengus first got up and sang it years ago, ya gotta hand it to him for bearing himself without a guitar crutch

i remember he confused the Back Here On Earth and Lightfoot album covers during his intro story...i think Gord missed his performance that year so glad he heard it finally

it's ironic that Gord wouldn't allow an abbreviated version of IYCRMM for the Grammys way back when, now he is guilty of doing so himself both at Hugh's and the Gentleman's club, but hey, it's his song to slice and dice as he pleases

great that the trio of gals did that slew of new ones! like the Bay sweater on Emm and the red frillies on Dayna...never heard Jory do Worth Believin, cool!

i got the Leafs by the Habs for ya... check out the highlights if you never caught them...best 4 Leaf goals of the year and a up there with the outdoor Classic
