Very nice liitle web page Many thanks Char for finding and posting that
I checked the grid: there are 8 rows of 7 columns plus an odd pair at the bottom makes 58
there might be two more on another page but since the previous and next links do nothing I could not verify.
I was pleased that there was a single photo taken in 1967 when the Royal Yacht Britannia sailed up the St Lawrence so that the Queen could visit Expo 67 on St Helen's Island which is sandwiched between the river and the Seaway.

If and when I get my computer on talking terms with my scanner I just might scan a slide I took on July 2 1967, my notes show one taken that day of "the Queen's mini rail train" then a pair of views of the Britannia in the "St lambert Docks" ?? surely that should been St Lawrence??
(I thought that might have been a hand writen typo but no on:-
http://www.greatcanadianrivers.com/r...nomy-home.html
I read
"Canal Building - Of a new 32 kilometre canal to bypass the Lachine Rapids at Montreal.
Lock Construction - Of the Dwight D. Eisenhower and Bertrand H. Snell locks in the International Section, the Iroquois Lock to bypass the Iroquois Dam, the Upper and Lower Beauharnois Locks in the Beauharnois Canal, and the St. Lambert and Cote Ste. Catherine Locks in the new Lachine Canal"
So yes my error might have been in writing Docks not Locks, although there are docks of that name too
I seem to remember that if I enlarged one of the yacht pix it was possible to see the Queen walking around but my memory may be at fault there!!

Until 1967 (I had been in school since 1960) we sang God Save The Queen at school .... Gordon would have grown up singing it as well AND he also would have sung God Save The King as a young boy in school until he was 14 or so. (George VI - king from 1936 - until his death in 1952 and daughter Elizabeth became Queen @ 26 years of age)

Thanks for those enjoyable videos, including the "two Gords" one that's been on this website before.

Char, I remember singing "God Save the Queen" at school assemblies throughout primary school. It wasn't until 1974 that our national anthem changed to "Advance Australia Fair".

http://www.jubilee.lt.gov.on.ca/60in60/images/ official photos for exhibition '60 in 60'
FACEBOOK of Lieutenant Governor, David Onley of Ontario/Representative of Her Majesty.
The b&w photo at the top of the site has the Lt.Gov.meeting the Queen when he was a young boy. He is the lad in a wheelchair wearing a blue blazer - "My grandfather said if his grandson were going to be seen by the Queen, you were certainly not going to be wearing just a shirt. It was going to be a blue blazer.”
Photo @ exhibit of Lt.Gov and his wife as Lightfoot looks on.
Other wonderful pics @ site.
