Oh no! Not again!-Finally a dream come true part 2
Hey gang:
I'm not in a very good mood as I write this.I talked to my friend again today(the one who's in the power chair). His wife is in the Hammot Medical Center. She was having chest pains. She will be coming home tommorrow, then its a 'wait and see/watch and treat scenario. She was going to be the one to drive to the Chautauqua Institution performance in July.It looks as if thats not going to happen
now.My BF said he he would try to request a personal day off for it.
But if he can't get it,I'll have to miss out.
I'm not mad at my friend/his wife.I know its not her fault she got sick. But why does this keep happening to me?! Every time I get close to getting something I really want(i.e.-a dream come true)WHAM! Something always seems to happen so that the whole thing falls apart! Keep in mind that this was probably my one and only chance, ever, to see THE MAN.Gordy doesn't come to this area very often(I think the last time was about 5 years ago).In addition, keep in mind that Gord is almost 70 years old. Who knows how much longer he'll continue to perform,or for that matter be with us on the earth?
If anyone is going to the Chautauqua Institution performance in July,PLEASE let me know.I desperately need help!

Re: Oh no! Not again!-Finally a dream come true part 2
Hi Patybear,
I'm in Rochester, NY. About two and a half hours from chatauqua. I have a pretty flexible schedule, so it would not be hard for me to make the time. I hadn't planned on going though and don't have a ticket. Also I don't know where you are. If you're off in the upper eastern part of the state, then I guess that wouldn't work very well anyway.
But I thought I'd mention that I might be able to help. Let me know what you think.
Tim

Sometimes, it seems like everything comes crashing down,. the main thing right now to do is concentrate on helping your friends, by doing all you can do. The concert will be a few months away. There is still plenty of time for things to work out.
Keep you chin up .

I hope things work out for you Patybear. I know how disappointing it can be when plans fall through.
Tim, you're a nice man Hope you can make the plans work and that you have a great time

Re: Oh no! Not again!-Finally a dream come true part 2
Hi Anne. Well I try anyway. It's looking like it might be possible. I just want to be sure Patybear feels comfortable with me as we've never met. I'll probably be passing by her neck of the woods between now and July on my way to visit family, so maybe we can meet for coffee or something. We'll see. Sounds like an adventure!
By the way, I got my D-35 back from the shop and it sounds terrific. I hope to record something new soon. I've been pretty busy though and I have a broken fingernail which needs a couple of weeks before it can see action again. Dang dry winter air!
best, Tim

i can certainly understand where you're coming from there Paty. WhenTHE MAN was here in October of '08, my pops was getting himself together to go to the deer woods, and I had to remind him very strongly that he couldn't leave for his little trip until the 6th as he had to drive me to the show. He wasn't too happy about that.

Hi Tim,
Sounds like you are making some good plans for things to work out well. I hope you and Patybear have a great time. Gordon really is so magical when you see and hear him live.
I am excited to hear that you will be singing soon I stop by your channel at YT once in a while just to make sure there isn't anything new that I am missing...lol.
I know, real life gets in the way of all the fun stuff. I really do look forward to having some new songs from you. You are so talented and your songs are always appreciated and enjoyed.
