Default Finally,a dream come true.Be still my beating heart!

Hey Gang:
A really good friend of mine and I were talking on the phone the other day,and he told me Gordon is coming to the Chautauqua Institution July 24th! Iasked him if he is going and he said yes. I told him I would go with him and his wife.(My bf can't get the time out of work).I found out not too long ago that Clint Black is
coming near me in April.I got into a huge fight with the bf over that concert(we almost broke up over it).Turns out we wouldn't have been
able to afford the Clint Black concert anyway. Since the Clint Black concert is a 'no go',theres NO WAY I'm missing Gordy.Especially since he doesn't come to my area very often.

I can't wait for July! I hope I can get some pics.We hopefully will be right down front, since my friend is supposed to get priority(he's in one of those Power Chairs). We're planinng on get tickets all at the same time so our seats will be all together.

Patybear, I will be there too. Saw him at Shea's in Buffalo in September but as you know, you can't see him too many times.

I haven't been to Chautauqua in a few years but I saw GL there back in 1988 and remember him telling the audience he was turning 50 that year. If you haven't been there, it's a great venue but I believe it's still general admission seating with the first 10 or 20 rows roped off for VIP seating and the rest of the seats first come first served so you shouldn't have to worry about sitting together. Tickets go on sale 4/1/09. If you hang out at the old hotel behind the theatre you might even get to shake his hand.

Get there early so you can walk around the grounds.

I can certainly understand the excitement that you're feeling. I felt like a kid on a sugar rush when I heard that he was coming here back during the summer of 'o8. I was bouncing off the walls & driving folks here absolutely nutty. I got my ticket early, and as it happened it was right down front, practically in the speakers. I'm telling you, it was THE BEST time that I had ever had!
