Any ideas anyone
whilst searching amazon.com for GL items
I found this:-

on this page:-
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002CVVLS/qid=11...http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002CVVLS/qid=11... entitled:-
"QRS Extended Play Roll- - -GORDON LIGHTFOOT HITS"
and its
"Product Description is:-
1. The Wreck Of The Edmund Fitzgerald; 2. Sundown; 3. If You Could Read My Mind."
It's "no earthly good to me" though because I also read:-
"Product Features:-
Large spool size not playable on Kimball Spinett"
A what??
Dang
A good job I didn't buy this one then

"Sold Kimball Spinet Piano. 38" Price $1495 includes bench, local delivery"
see:-
http://www.johnsonpiano.com/sold.html
surely that is not Diane's famous Piano shoppe??
No that shop is in Corunna Missoura
I was however pleased to find this rare rather larger image of the reissued Gord's Gold on amazon

but nobody seems to have the equivalent size for GG2
Amazon completely ignores it and CD Universe whilst currently featuring both the original and reissued artwork only has this titchie version:-

John Fowles
If anybody finds a larger one please let me know
(or if they have bought the actual CD could they please scan it for me?)

great amazon uk, although also eschewing the reissued GG2 does have this nice large image of a recently issued "regurgitation"

and also this strangely headed item
Gord's Gold [Australian Import]

That looks to me like something from the recently quiescant Sydney Hooligane!!
I could find nor think why that CD should have had that heading on page:-
http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...702683-6587902
amazon UK also have this import:-

and Jessie-Joes "avatar":-

One thing I find truly insulting these days is that "special paper packaging" they put around best of's or greatest hits and try to pass it off as something new.

I guess they really are desperate to sell CD's these days. LOL! :D

"Hey! dat looks like-a new Gordie CD,cool"!

Actually seeing the full sized 12" record sleeve is rather more impressive and the painting is IMHO one of the better ones of Gordon. the artist has signed it "Maffia 1975". I bought my copy of the identical artwork UK Sunset Label issue entitled "Early Morning Rain" in the UK in 1976
I have googled for "maffia artist" and found nothing useful or applicable
this painting is i submit far imginative and sattrctive than that other frequently seen painting of gord in what was referred to in another topic as "the ice-cream suit"

Or the week impression on the "Beautiful" Tribute CD

Amazingly this picture is included on an Australian folk review page at:-
http://www.folkaustralia.com/REVIEWS...lightfoot.html
As for who Maffia is/was, that is yet another question to try to quiz Gord on the next time I am priveleged to meet him after a concert
