I was accessing my desktop Windows Media Player, trying to see if I could play the Inspiration Lady video there and after i typed in the title and Gord's name,I got a handful of his old songs (audio) but also discovered a new group. They are a 2 man unit called "G".Gordon Lightfoot.
I clicked the line that read "Iuna" (their label I guess)and it contained full length samples of their music, which they classify as,"Weird-spoken word-experimental-surf music."
Weird is right, with titles like,"Spiraling"/"Go Freddy" (repeated over & over)/"Baked Alaska" (samples the Sanford & Son theme!)and "An Interesting Exploration" (samples sound bites from Star Wars, help me Obi Wan Kanobi!)

Apparently the "frontman" of the group is actually named G. Gordon Lightfoot (unless he changed it to that)and
he was born in (1941??)Okay! Their bio is a bunch of confusing sentences! I left them some comments in their "comments" section, making sure I mentioned that if they haven't,they should contact Gordon at Linus Entertainment about using the name.

If you'd like to check it out,use what ever search engine and (making sure you space between the G. and the 2 other words) type in the group's name and Iuna after it and it'll take you right to it.

So don't worry folks,Ole' Gordy hasn't abandoned his acoustic guitar to make electronic-sample driven music!!!!
That'd be one musical style too many, yet interesting! It's been me!Aurevoir!

So sorry Walter to have to pre-empt you on this weird "recording" but I discovered Baked Alaska by the surrogate Mr Lightfoot well over a year ago and duly reported my find on the Newsgroup at:- http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=e...Q%40garden.net
By The Way the "record label" was IUMA not Iuna I said in my posting that I
"was suitably amazed
to find this site:- http://artists.iuma.com/IUMA/Bands/G.Gordon_Lightfoot
where IUMA stands for
Internet Underground Music Archive"
when and if anyone hears the epic recording you will probably agree that underground is where it should have stayed!!

Yeah but you have to remember that not everyone reads the news group, so it could still be news to Corfid readers. I know it was news to me since I wasn't reading the NG at the time and I didn't go back and read every archived message when I started reading over there.

Anyway, thanks to you both for an interesting find.
