Setlist for 11/9 show at the Lied center, a nice 2200 seat theatre on the University of Nebraska campus: Triangle, Don Quixote,I'll prove my love, In my fashion, Rainy day people,The watchman's gone, Sundown, Carefree hiway, Never too close, Restless, Blackberry wine,Heaven don't deserve me, WOTEF,break, Beautiful, Shadows, Waiting for you, Fading away, Painter passing thru, Make way for the lady,Early morning rain unknown(sorry- it mentios Pokemon),Pony man (request),Baby step back, CRT, Old dan's records. All in all ,a great show. It was my first show since 1975, so thevoice seemed a little more mature, but everybody I took loved it. GL seemed more talkative than I remember and clearly seemed to be in a good mood. After intermission, he was handed a note of requests, and, while standing well away from his mic, ran down the list"can't do that, can't do that,ah pony man, we'll do that, can't do that, can't do that" The only one I could hear him say was Christian Island, which i personally would have loved to have heard. He eventually did Pony man, but he started to introduce it then sang a different song first I certainly hope he's in my neck of the woods again soon

Having read the recent topic http://www.corfid.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/002629.html in which harmony raised the"old" question of "Who is The Watchman?" to which smartypants brink copped out and fobbed her off by telling her to "check out the other thread, re:the watchman." I thought I would do just that but failed to even find Al's infamous triple-nostrilled photo. But I did see this 2000 topic on the Lincoln Nebraska concert that I had not previously seen (no doubt a few of you have heard this concert in which Gord sang his song written for Eric so he could include the word "Pokemon" -the song is known as either Nighttime or Corner Of The House)

The song is not "known as" Corner Of The House. It was mistitled as that on a bootleg CD. Let's not give that name any dignity please!

And, uh, you don't mean Eric. He was 18 when the song was written. It was one of his younger kids - I think Meredith - that he wrote it for.

Oops I am truly sorry Deby I had not then realised that you had in fact taken the trouble of digging out the relevant topic and replied thereby bringing it back to near the top.(write 100 lines I must read all topics before I sound off)!! Still I am pleased that I then found the Lincoln Nebraska topic. Now I must as retribution find the topic with that ghastly pic of Al

Oops again
Right Val but I said that for the benefit of anybody who knew that CD and had wondered about that title

And, uh, you don't mean Eric.
Duh Thanks for the correction I of course meant Miles not Eric. Silly me!

He was 18 when the song was written. It was one of his younger kids - I think Meredith - that he wrote it for.
