Dear Fellow GL Fans,
Over the next 3 or 4 weeks most of us will be busy with family and friends celebrating the holidays and ringing in 2004. Each year this causes a BIG slowdown in posts and I expect this year will be the same. Keep in mind that at this time ONLY Borderstone is listed as MIA. So let's not dilute our search party into different directions, just assume we're busy. We can have another roll call around mid-January and count heads.
Have a wonderful time and keep in touch, I'm laughing out loud but I really enjoy all your company and I would miss anyone who drops offline - even you silent lurkers
Peace
Bill

I'm going to be plenty busy learnin' to finger that new guitar that Santa is bringing. However, once I master the basics, I'll be back to check in for advice with Cathy and Val and some of the others of you who are prolific and accomplished Gord six-string impersonators.

Somewhere, Cathy yes. You couldn't pick a better person to learn from (pun intended). But I am NOT an accomplished guitar player. I am a rank beginner, and one with very little natural talent - or patience to practice regularly. I know a lot intellectually; Cathy has taught me a lot of picking patterns, and tried to teach me the basics of making it work. The shortcomings are mine. I have also learned a lot by participating in other guitar discussion groups, and reading about playing guitar. So I know the terms for everything, and can often explain just how to play a song or part of a song - but my fingers are about two years behind my brain! If I played every day - even just a little bit - I'm sure that I could actually play some of the songs passably, but I don't practice. I'm not proud of that!
Anyhow, enjoy that new guitar, post your questions, and do what I have not done - play a little bit every single day. I know it pays off; just haven't been able to prove it personally!

My post rate will go way down also! In fact, it will probably go to "zero posts" for about 2 weeks.
Maybe you all will notice, maybe not!
Anyway...Have a Happy Holiday Season, a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
God Bless us every one!

Jim Nasium, where on earth did you get that old picture of me from Pennsylvania, covered in snow dressed like Frosty?!!! I thought I had that safely hidden away in my underwear drawer! The noive! Aww,it's okay. The truth was bound to surface eventually. (Sigh.) Good ole childhood.
