Hi jj -so sorry we were both right there and didn't get to meet!!!! I'm glad I got to experience so much great music...but apparently missed out on some too
Yes I did change my glasses lol. One pair are my bifocals -the other pair, the dark framed one's Jenney patiently helped me pick out last year. This was my 1st new pair of glasses since having had 3 eye surgeries and she knew I needed extra care and I'm so grateful that she took the time! She also (again, patiently) ordered clip-on sunglasses for me ...which didn't work out and she ended up helping me with 'fit over' sunglasses, which I love. And which I'll be wearing today

!
A great gal our Jenney is and she has made the "Lightfoot" experience possible for me and so many others -as I discovered while talking to Corfidians I had a chance to meet

in Canada last week. As an aside...I have known Jenney since 1995/96 and while facing struggles I've had in the more recent past, she has been a great support for me (3 eye surgeries and a total hip replacement -and last year the loss of my mother and close aunt). For the eye surgeries in the years before, while struggling to find a surgeon, and during and after -Jenney! I'm forever grateful for all her time, kind words, support, advice/referrals and even all the self-consciousness/self-esteem issues I've faced.
Sometimes I don't know where I'd be without her! And without a doubt, I wouldn't be here in Canada right now if not for her. And now again I chide her about this being 'all her fault' -that I now have to have a Gordon Lightfoot budget!!! lol
Although I've only been on Corfid for less than a year now, I have since met and gotten to know several folks. I came up to Canada for Massey -not having yet personally met anyone who was going to be here -well, except for Gordon and the band -are the only one's I had met in person before

. When Jenney found out she couldn't make it, I wasn't going to go.
A little overwhelming to travel all this way, not know anyone -leaving my little podunk town for another country and the BIG city. OMG I can't believe all the people and cars and stores and WOW lol.
So I extend a big THANK YOU to Yuri and Cathy in particular -for their hospitality and making me feel welcome, etc., gave me the courage to make it! Without them and also, a very special now 14-year old young lady

I wouldn't be here now!
And now I have to head back home soon! Ending my time here with a drive along the shore in Mississauga this afternoon

.
Pam
