Aengus looks like he got a haircut. He is a cutie. Was Jory there?

Re: Paul pics

Jory wasn't nor was Aengus there this time..that curly haired fellow is Ron Sexsmith. Paul previously met him at Massey a couple of times and at home in England and spoke with him those times so it was nice that he was there again.

i think deb is referring to strombo...he has similar eyes/chin as finbo

hey, these are all great pics, char and paul, thx for sharing...man, paul must have a great wall back home with all his pics, he's got the warmest grin and it was great seeing him ...that pic of sexsmith is a gem, such sad eyes, dont know why he makes me chuckle... in an empathatic way

ok, i have to ask...i must have misunderstood but thought i heard that pam went home after thrs gig...now i am catching up on some posts and see she was still around saturday and am thinking she looks like someone i saw at the pub (a distant glowing smile was seen as she chatted with someone near the table that i also didnt know) but i didnt realize she was with the gl crowd...she looked different from the thurs pics that were posted, i think it's the glasses (different?) that threw me off, not to mention the pa volume level in the pub had blown my ears out and damaged my ability to comprehend much, lol

it was a great idea to make the pub our dugout though, thanks ron and i am sorry i missed your fri late night performance which i heard was just terrific! i was likely still commuting home in the gta gridlock

i also envisioned continuing a digi-chat from 2004 with sir john but realized that wasnt gonna happen at massey intermission or at mcveighs, nontheless, great to shake mitts, talk of video for 4 seconds and will add the jj/jf pint+sitdown it to my bucket list, aka nov2009!

so pam, have a great shoreline drive (whereabouts?) with your gracious hosts...time to do another glasses change, they will need to be heavily tinted for this warm day ahead!) cheers:)

hi ho hi ho, it's back into the citybound gridliock i go:(

ps) char, i love the pic of gord chatting with the wee lady, another gem

JJ your skills as an entertainer never cease to amaze me. Whether it's writing, singing, filming, playing keyboard, guitar or whatever, you're number one. Maybe it's something about being one of the Joneses. But wait, I think I have it figured out! Ah yes; being a Jones, we seem to be locked in a constant struggle "staying ahead of the keep uppers." Re: Paul pics

Hi jj -so sorry we were both right there and didn't get to meet!!!! I'm glad I got to experience so much great music...but apparently missed out on some too :(

Yes I did change my glasses lol. One pair are my bifocals -the other pair, the dark framed one's Jenney patiently helped me pick out last year. This was my 1st new pair of glasses since having had 3 eye surgeries and she knew I needed extra care and I'm so grateful that she took the time! She also (again, patiently) ordered clip-on sunglasses for me ...which didn't work out and she ended up helping me with 'fit over' sunglasses, which I love. And which I'll be wearing today :)!

A great gal our Jenney is and she has made the "Lightfoot" experience possible for me and so many others -as I discovered while talking to Corfidians I had a chance to meet :) in Canada last week. As an aside...I have known Jenney since 1995/96 and while facing struggles I've had in the more recent past, she has been a great support for me (3 eye surgeries and a total hip replacement -and last year the loss of my mother and close aunt). For the eye surgeries in the years before, while struggling to find a surgeon, and during and after -Jenney! I'm forever grateful for all her time, kind words, support, advice/referrals and even all the self-consciousness/self-esteem issues I've faced.

Sometimes I don't know where I'd be without her! And without a doubt, I wouldn't be here in Canada right now if not for her. And now again I chide her about this being 'all her fault' -that I now have to have a Gordon Lightfoot budget!!! lol

Although I've only been on Corfid for less than a year now, I have since met and gotten to know several folks. I came up to Canada for Massey -not having yet personally met anyone who was going to be here -well, except for Gordon and the band -are the only one's I had met in person before :). When Jenney found out she couldn't make it, I wasn't going to go.

A little overwhelming to travel all this way, not know anyone -leaving my little podunk town for another country and the BIG city. OMG I can't believe all the people and cars and stores and WOW lol.

So I extend a big THANK YOU to Yuri and Cathy in particular -for their hospitality and making me feel welcome, etc., gave me the courage to make it! Without them and also, a very special now 14-year old young lady :) I wouldn't be here now!

And now I have to head back home soon! Ending my time here with a drive along the shore in Mississauga this afternoon :).

Pam
