Hi! The All Music Guide credits Daniel Lanois as playing guitar on Songbook. Can someone tell me which track(s) he plays on? Thanks ~ John

That is a mistake. He did play on two tracks of A Painter Passing Through - the album - but not on that song itself which is the only one from that album on Songbook. If you look at the actual credits in the Songbook "book", you will see Lanois' name - but he did not play on that particular song. In the credits, all the names from the album are listed, even though some people may not have played on the tracks chosen for the boxed set. (Lanois played on On Yonge Street and Boathouse on the A Painter Passing Through CD).

To VL Magee:I've been to your website and I was wondering, off topic here but...can you or do you, have a playlist from Gord's tour last year? I remember most of the songs he did but I'd like to remember all I heard and in the order I heard them. I think if I got that I'd make a special tape putting the songs in that order. Let me know! If you can't help me,no biggie! It's been the B! Catch ya on the flipside of Sundown!

Borderstone - yes, Wayne has many of the set lists on his web site. If he doesn't have the set list for the concert you attended, let me know which one it was as I may have it. Gord's concerts varied from night to night, using certain "major" songs every night, and rotating various others. The general flow was the same, opening with a 12 string song on most nights, ending the first set with Wreck most nights, and using certain songs to end the second set and as the encore.

No, Brink, the set lists aren't on my site. I've thought about it, but never got around to doing it.

You can't mean 9/7. That's the night he fell ill. Do you mean the 6th?

Sorry it is the 6th I had tickets for both nights but obviously went to one. I really must thank you for the advice to go to that concert when I emailed you. Brink

Brink,

I'm very glad that you went to that concert because of my recommendation! It will always be a wonderful memory for you, and you are one of only a handful of people who have heard the two new songs he introduced that night (first two after the intermission). The set list that follows was sent to me by another fan. I don't know that it is 100% accurate, as it can be difficult to get all the songs written down while enjoying the concert. I know first hand, as I have had that challenge many times. There are 27 songs which is on the long side for concerts in 2002, so this is probably complete.
