I have to admit the 60's version wasn't as good as the original, but it did have its interesting episodes.

In this one an undercover officer is under investigation and naturally he's nervous and upset.

However there's more to his anger than him being interrogated, and Joe Friday tries to provide some comfort to the officer.

It's quite a touching episode.
