I just saw the news of this on Cnn Jov. I
'm so major leauge bummed now.
Only 3 days before her birthday too.

I didn't date much in my teens and watching Golden Girls & the othr NBC fav's that night was how I got through those times.

Especially thanks to the wit of "Sophia".

Rest in peace Estelle and thanks for that.

I watch 1 hour of Golden Girls reruns every night. I enjoy all the girls but Sophia does wonderful straight lines. It is hard not to wake my husband up with my laughing. At least Estelle is not in pain.

She was great!
I think her character was the perfect role for her...she did such a great job on that show.
Love the show and her very much. She will be missed.

I absolutely ADORED her as Sophia. She was exactly what I wish my own grandmother had been. I also had the chance to see Stop Or My Mother Will Shoot & thought she was hilarious as Stallones mum. The combination of those two reminded me so much of a Great Dane(Stallone) and a chihuahua(Getty).
