Default Bridge Over Troubled Waters.

Does anyone here know what the exact year Simon & Garfunkel's last LP was released?

Most times I've heard 1970 and even at their offical site it gives that year.

Therefore it's probably silly on my part to ask such a question but Occasionally I've heard it being credited to 1969.

Now I believe if 1970 is the exact rlease of the LP I think it would of come out in January of that year which meant probably all of it could of been finished the previous year but most song or alums are credited to the exact year they were released.

The back of the album states that two songs; "Keep The Customer Satisfied" & "Song For The Asking" were copyrighted in 1970 and all other songs were copyrighted in 1969. From that my guess would be that the album was released in 1970.

Recorded in the fall & winter of 1969,"Bridge Over Troubled Water" (no "S") was officially released to the public on January 26th,1970 w/ the title track already climbing the charts.

That song went to #1 in late Feb. 1970 and, through most of March was #1 for 6 weeks.

As for the copyrighting, don't forget TV shows & movies film in certain years but the "official" year & dates are when they hit the TV screens, moviehouses and record stores.
