Borderstone countdown
Hello to all you wonderful Lightheads. I am excited to share that I am on a Borderstone countdown. Hopefully, only four weeks from today I will meet the man behind the name. Ken, my mom, Baby our little dog and I will be in Phoenix.
Look out Walter, here we come.

Re: Borderstone countdown
I will give Walter hugs and handshakes (for those who would not hug him).
Char, I don't have any pictures to share. As always those very special men were very professional. It was hot and high (the altitude) in Colorado. We only went to the first two shows.
Sometimes I feel like I might come across as bragging if I share what happened at the concerts that were special for me. Gordon has been talking to me from the stage in front of everyone. I yell something to him so he knows I am there and he actually responded this time by saying, "Thank you Dore". Oh my, after all these years. My husband and friends seem to like the exchange almost as much as I do.
That's all I have to share for now. We leave for Portland, Oregon tomorrow and I have to finish laundry, pack clothes and pack kaleidoscopes to ship to our customers.
I hope you are all well and enjoying the summer.

Re: Borderstone countdown
Oh Dore,I can't imagine why no one would not want to hug me. LOL! I've been told by females in the past that I'm as huggable as a Care Bear! *blush-blush*
Yes,folks I spoke with Dore here last night and advised her on the best place to stay here in North Phoenix. She's not going to stay at my old workplace (no pets allowed)
I am excited about meting Dream Street Rose here as well as fellow Lighthead! Like the Happenings song said so long ago,"I'll See You,In September"!

Re: Borderstone countdown
DSR - it's not bragging at all - if anyone takes it as such then we can't do anything about that but I know the vast majority of us all love to hear each others tales about our meetings/concerts/trips/pics etc.
that's why we're all here! to share those wonderful events with those who weren't able to meet up with the "net people', see a concert, or shake a hand, get a pic...
So feel free to share your fabulous memories and impressions...and shout-outs!
lol

Re: Borderstone countdown
Hi Sue,
Tinkerbell was happy to see you. I bet Gordon had glitter all over him too. Thank you for two wonderful nights. The concerts would not have been the same for me without you there. Next time we need to get the fan stuck in the other side of my hair to even it all out.
I am getting closer to my Borderstone meeting. (Since I started this post about Borderstone I thought I should ,"mention his name in passing").
Hope you have a good week Sue.

Re: Borderstone countdown
I am so excited. Only 6 more days until I get to hug Borderstone. Look out Walter, I have to hug you for a lot of ladies who have asked me to give you hugs for them. Since you are way over a foot taller than me I hope you don't hurt your back.
See you soon.

Re: Borderstone countdown
Dore,
Give Walter a hug from me too. Maybe someday I can give him one in person.
Be careful, though... stay calm and don't give him a goodie bag... Tennessee Troubadour might find out and give you heck (lol).

Re: Borderstone countdown
Well, Ricky I should hope so. We will try to arrive on time. It will probably take many hours to pay off those hugs to you. Maybe my mom and Baby(our Maltese), can help. Don't worry Kathy, I will get and give your share for you.(LOL)

Re: Borderstone countdown
Okay, you are probably all sick of this thread but I am still so excited. Only about 28 hours and I will be able to deliver all those hugs to Walter. Don't worry, Kathy, Kerstin, Deb and all you other women who have sent me mail asking for me to give Walter hugs. We will only get to spend a few hours together but I will try to remember to have a picture taken and then try to post (but please don't let Sir John know that I will try to do this incase I fail).
Look out Walter, here we come.

Re: Borderstone countdown
Let's see....things to not forget when meeting Rose and family.
Do not forget to brush toot--er,er teeth!
Do not forget to finally comb hair, that is if I remember how.
Do not forget to uh,what was that called again??...Oh! yes, take a shower!
Do not forget to,speak english and not in dialect borrowed from Star Wars aliens.
And lastly,do not forget....to be myself . See you soon Rose.

Re: Borderstone countdown
Since Rose is now busy with her husband & mom and her dog Baby, traveling to AZ's "white mountains". I thought I'd tell you all how last night went.
Rose & co. showed up at 7:20pm,running a tad late but,no sweat. I had time to put my tuxedo on...no wait, that was a Fred Astiare movie! LOL!
Rose gave me hugs for all of you and took two snapshots, which I'm sure she'll post later. Like the three wise men they came baring (bearing?) gifts . Some "real" food for my fridge and cupboards (helping me get away from Chef-boy-ar-dee for a change.) LOL!
I also received a penguin shaped "goodie bag" with 3 GL CDs Shadows-Salute & Sunday Concert + (I finally have "Spin Spin". ) Also 2 post cards w/ Gord's pic and a Lightfoot stamp. A box of candy and Gord pics.
Then I helped them find their way too their hotel since i know the area so well. I helped them with luggage and then we ate dinner at a resteraunt called Lonestar,at 9pm where we did a "cheers' with our glasses to new friends. I had milk, yum!
I also got to speak to Brink for the first time,it was nice talking with you Deb,you're the coolest as well.
A great night all around and I hope it's the start of meeting more of the rest of you here.! It was wonderful to meet you and yours Rose. You are all a true class act

By the way Michigan,it's been a long time since I sent you a massage,i must correct that. Terribly forgetful of me.

Re: Borderstone countdown
Alright, Rose is too slow some of the time. We did have a wonderful visit with Borderstone. Kathy in Michigan, you are right Borderstone is very endearing. The cool part for me is that Walter and my husband, Ken seemed to have no problem finding things to talk about.
Ken, Baby and I are on another Borderstone countdown. We leave for Jerome, Arizona in 10 days and will again stop in Phoenix and spend time with Walter. I have promised Brink that we will call and talk to her again.
Well, I have to go and start to think of what to put in Borderstone's "goodie bag".
I am going to try to post a picture of Walter and me. I hope I can do it.

Re: Borderstone countdown
Sorry Sir John,
I did the best I could. Yes, I can see it does not look like everyone else's pictures but time is short and so am I. Scold me if you wish. I will try another lesson after I see Borderstone in a couple of weeks and take another picture.

Re: Borderstone countdown
Thank you Char,
At least you can click on the attachment and see what Borderstone and I look like together. That is how I look after 8 hours in the car. I had wanted to freshen up first but did not have time. That is the story of my life. (LOL)
I promise I will try again in a few weeks.

Re: Borderstone countdown
Gee Walter,
Give you one picture and you want two. The one at the stone bench is a little dark because it was night time. I will try to lighten it up and post it just because it will make you happy. I suppose you want me to actually print you those picutres too.LOL

Re: Borderstone countdown
Okay Borderstone,
This is the real countdown. Only 3 more days and we will be together again. Don't get too excited but I am going to start packing your "goodie bag" today
Ken wants to talk to you about your job and Baby wants to show you her new hair cut. I hope Liza won't be jealous.
Anyone want me to hug Walter again for them? I't a nasty job, but I don't mind at all since he gives good hugs.
Okay Walter, I have given you notice so start cleaning up.
