There was a interview segment with McLean on CBS' "Sunday Morning" yesterday that mainly focused on the impact of 'American Pie'. They prsented a statistic that is quite amazing: Since 1971 'American Pie' has been played on the radio an AVERAGE of 11 times an hour, 24 hours a day. That's more than 3 million times.
Yeah, interesting TV piece. I was glad to hear that he was a finance major in school and used that training to protect his rights. Looks like he has most every dollar he ever earned. Good for him. Nice home too, wow !
