Comedian Jerry Seinfeld was offered $ 5 million, per episode, if he'd agree to do another season. He decided to leave when the show was a hit...

The famous Swedish group ABBA, was reportedly, offered $ 1 Billion dollars to do a reunion world tour. They declined...

I was a big fan of ABBA, still love their music. Agnetha was my favorite...

I dont know if any of you, fine Corfidians have a story like those to share?

I don't know how big the bucks would have been, but didn't Lightfoot once turn down an offer to use one of his tunes in some commercial peddling alcohol ?
Seems I read that somewhere.....

You are probably right, RMD. I think the song was Sundown, not sure. But I seem to remember that story...

While Ronald Reagan was on his campaign trail to the White House, they wanted to use, the John Mellencamp song, "Little Pink Houses." John refused, telling them, that was not what the song was about... Pretty cool Dude that Mellencamp...

I sure tip my hat to their integrity, but naw, won't find in the Mamma Mia line up...I have friends who retaliate by subjecting me to full volume ABBA greatest hits after I put them through a thorough Gord listen, lol

some groups really give me a chuckle, how many final reunion tours or ultimate greatest hits CDs can one group have?
