Ron's son Liam is a talented young artist and has his website up and running.

Liam graciously donated a painting to the raffle we held at the November Massey convention. Richard in British Columbia was the thrilled winner.

Donations have been sent to the Orillia and Hamilton hospitals in Lightfoot's name.

Massey Highlights
I had intended to post a note with a few photos but procrastination has got the better of me (I am not alone as quite a while ago Char was promising us her memories,she probably like me blaimed the forum being down for part of this delay.I could have
posted to any number of topics meanwhile, but this new topic today really caught my eye as one of the pix I intended to show
was Liam's painting raffle prize, which I just might have been the only one to aim my camera at??:-

IMHO Good enough to form the basis of a superb official album/CD cover/insert
But here are a few highlights to illustrate what Massey 2006 meant to me:-
As always the chance to meet other fans tops my list and this year it was good to finally see Ron Jones meet the man who go
him started on the internet; Ed Mullen

that was taken at the UK style "public House" next to the Delta Chelsea
I was personally delighted to find that that that local also continues to feature a very good British "Real Ale"
Fuller's London Pride, on draught and in proper man-sized UK Imperial pint glasses (20 ounces .. none of uour namby pamby 16 ounce substandard subsitutes!!)

and of course Yorkshire pudding
My overwhelming highlight was after my sixth view of Niagara falls getting to meet Tom salter and visit him at
Stonewall Studios to see how he manipulated images so deftly

where are the next batch Tom (you listed 20 only 4 released so far???)

Tom's enviable double monitor set up (yes it is a widescreen 32"LCD magnificent as was his multiple speaker arrangement
And fittingly to finish this a picture I just managed to get at the end of the final (Sunday Concert)
I expect others have noticed that Gord sometimes omits to introduce his stalwart band during a concert and he forgot on
that Sunday. But after the encore Gord usually strolls on for a final bow, On Sunday he started walking back on from the
right side wing then stopped and went back to call the band on they trooped out after Gord and all 5 lined up to bow

well, ironic but I just finished a final cut of the video but will definitely revert to draft status in order to add a few great pics here, if that's ok with you? (ie. the one of Ed and Ron plus the one of you all backstage, very niiice)

John, if you have any other pics or jam video that you'd like to have included then please send along as soon as convenient and I'll blend it in as there are many voids currently...we've not had the same variety of commemorative shots and clips to work with that was contributed back in 2001...those pics at your site also bring back great memories, so glad you've got them archived!

I'll be working on the Massey Memories etc. soon...real life has stepped in big time since Massey and I've not had the brainpower to get it done...it seems so long ago...

Liam's especially large works are real masterpieces!
I nod 100% as I read his words comparing painting and music and know so many others who would join the chorus of nods...it's also like throwing together a recipe without referring to one of those 4/6" cards

ahhh, working with acrylics, so less stressful than watercolours or oils, lol

great set up, Tom...cool harvest table, what a coincidence, lol
looks like space is not at a premium in your case, great character, thanks for sharing that scene

i compacted from 3 monitors to 1 cinema display but my 32" LCD recently became the kid's TV recently, funny how THAT works, lol!

So basically it just proved what I have previously said:-
Do NOT even think about trying to use Yahoo for displaying pictures here
they obviously do not want you to, and do not have the common courtesy or nous to tell you to get lost
Instead use the free (and correctly working) service provided by:-
image shack
Just make sure you register so that you can access or delete your own uploaded images in future
I'll be in contact regarding some video stuff for you later

Tom has a wonderful 100+ years stone house, hence the name Stonewall Studios. He graciously moved his equipment upstairs for us so we could watch him make the video, and eat and drink at the sametime (thanks Eva). With wonderful chocolates for dessert. I agree John is was a wonderful highlight of a great vacation.
LOL JJ, the kids rule, that is just something we all have to get used to. Wait until Harry is big enough to make and edit his own movies!
Richard has agreed to a "shared custody" of the painting, since I probably put in 50 tickets to his one.

I personally think that the "joint custody" should extend to Nanci's fine clock too since Richard the Miller was extremely lucky to snaffle both of the star raffle prizes.
