Mad Violet

One of my favorite groups that I became aquainted with through the GL tribute shows in Toronto is Mad Violet. They are two extremely talented young ladies who have a great sound.
I was poking around their web site and stumbled upon this. Go to the video section, and watch the one marked Mitzi.

They have fabulous harmonies - the video labelled "Haight Ashbury" is a fine example.
I hope they will be at the Tribute shows in January. (are you listening Jory and Aengus?)

Their cover version of Poor Little Alison was mesmerising.
For those who know who Ashley McIsaac from down east is (canadian fiddling sensation and all 'round bad-boy) the one with the long dark hair is LisaMarie - his sister.
They have quite a following in Australia and have toured a couple of times in the last couple of years.

It was great to see, Mike Bullard again, I really enjoyed him. No Canadian Late night talk show, seemed to be able to stay on air, for long.

I wonder who will replace Conan, when he takes on The Tonight Show?

It was rumoured Mike Bullard wanted to go to the state, who knows.
