They resembled 'The Who' on speed!
Best song/singer was Brian Kennedy from Ireland.
Rest were c*** - including the Brit song.

David (djb) you are from Sweden? I was in the 70's a very big & devoted fan of ABBA. I remember they made more money than the Volvo Co. They were great, Agnetha, Bjorn, Benny, Anni(Frida)...

Jessi-Joe, you would love the stage show 'Mamma Mia', which - incase you don't know - is a production of ABBA songs which link an amusing plot line (which has nothing to do with the group) but it is a terrific showcase for the songs. If you get the chance, go see it.

The voting wasn't too bad this time. I didn't pay attention to all of it, but it was as reasonable as could be expected. France showed an outright bias, but I didn't have much else jump out at me.

I think it sort of became a protest vote to the sickening glitz, glamour, and voting nepotism that has plagued this contest over the years.

It may not have started that way, as Lordi were the clear and honest winners in Finland, but once they got through to the semi-final, there seemed to be a shift in the attitude of the other countries that voted.

And just for the record, I had my noise and long hair days too. They may not have the articulate lyrics of a Gord or Al Stewart, but they're fun and it's still enjoyable to occasionally reminisce back to my KISS days.

I haven't become my father quite yet. :D

Actually JJ, I'm from Orillia, but Gord got his name on the Welcome sign first, so tnere wasn't much left for me to stay for. :D

I just happen to live and work near Stockholm since 1999. I have permanent residence status in Sweden, but I'm still a Canadiac citizen and always will be.
