Just wanted to give you folks a bit of notice that between March 6th to 26th (maybe a bit more) the library I post from will be doing it's first rennovation in nearly 20 years.

About time too, this "futuristic" look they adapted in the '80s,no longer is! :D

This just means,I wont be on here as much. I "will" try to post from wherever I can,if possible. So,I'm not leaving..just going on hiatus. Later!

Don't worry Cheryl,I will! I'll go to other libraries when possible. Downtown is just less than an hour from my place. Any others will be more than an hours bus ride. ...but I'll do my best!

Hey B,

I'll be on a little hiatus myself. People are sure to think we're vacationing together somewhere, LOL. Don't file any missing persons reports, we'll be back after awhile.

Peace be with you,

Bill

Simple Cathy,I can't afford the internet just now and when & if I get the internet again,I have to install a new modem.

I haven't used my home PC in a little over a year now. Oh,well. I'll get it back when I can,no biggie.

Hopefully the inconvenience will be worth it, Borderstone. It will probably look much improved when you return next month. My local library could use a little sprucing up, too...but it doesn't look like it's going to happen anytime soon.

Lavender, you have to go to the city personally (by phone or E-mail) or get a petition going to make it happen.

I think ours "just" happened. Truthfully,it doesn't look bad,it's just the decor is (as I mentioned) futuristic concept in 1988 and now it's just boooorrrrriiiiiiing! :D

I hope they paint purple!

Not. :D

You don't need a new modem if you get Road Runner or some other high speed Internet. And they're just about as cheap as dialup now.

I'll keep that in mind Cathy but I'll only look into it when I'm back in my own apt. I'm temporarily residing w/ my brother and there's no room for a PC just now.

Thanks for the tip though.

Sheesh. I had 2 unused modems in my closet. I'd have sent one to you if I had known. My son took them back to Portland for a friend's computer.

I have the modem in a box Cathy,I bought one a few months before I moved but i have to have someone else install it. I'm not mechanically or technologically inclined.

Along with the rest that I've mentioned as well.

Thanks for the offer,I love you guys and your genuine human giving nature on here.
That's what not only makes Lightfoot fans great but just makes for good people in general. (yes I'm blushing.) :D

Their closing in about 90 min. and then,I'll be on here "when I can" for the next month. So,if you don't hear from me,not to worry...."I shall return." Later gators! (How corny! :D )

I thought this would be the best place to post this,I'm at a local hotel called Crowne Plaza (not far from where I work) for a job fair.

This PC is in the front lobby and it's an exquisete lobby! Pretty weird posting on the site from such a fancy location.

Fair's over now so,gotta split!
