Just came from the Billboard Magazine website and found that the live version of the song from the Grammy Awards has been released as a "single" and has just debuted at #22 on the Hot 100!

I don't know if there's a real single out there or if it's just based on airplay only but....I think it's just great that the song has become a top 40 hit again! I think someone had a hit with it in the '70s but i can't recall who.

David Bowie did the song on his "Young Americans" LP in 1975,some of you might recall. I think it's cool and if it is a single,I'm-a-buyin' it!

Hey B,

If you liked that "version" you should listen to the original by The Beatles and hear what it was intended to sound like.

B,

I forgot to mention that you can find the original on the Let It Be album which was released in 1970 I believe. The Watchman is our resident Beatles expert, there's one other but he hasn't posted lately, if you have any technical questions. This one is played "in tune, on time" as Gord might say.

the Grammy version got really slagged in the papers - It was kinda awful. Hard enough for the boys from Britain to pull it off originally!

Don't worry Bill,I know the Beatles version and it's awesome!

I don't know what anyone else heard at the Grammy's but I thought they were great! To each his own opinion I guess.

Had to love M. Etheridge's,"Piece Of My Heart" though,outstanding...better if she'd done it solo.
