I'm going to miss him a lot - already do!
He was a super-talented, totally under-rated personality. Bless his soul.

Sure, more . . .

I'm unfamiliar w/ him. I'd rather be aware. For me, I receive the expressed feelings of folks in places like this, one by one, more than reading a site, fine though it may be.

When Brother Ray passed, it was the personal souls speaking that touched me the deepest.

So, yes, please, more . . .

If not, I understand

He was just one of those talents who was under-appreciated, I suppose, or taken for granted.
So many people were surprised to read of what a varied and fascinating career he had, from his early political life to the days of CHUM (and introducing the Beatles to Toronto, etc.) and on to a long, original and innovative stretch on television. He made it all look so effortless and that's the mark of a real pro. He was one-of-a-kind and that is to be missed.

Thanks for your reply Ginny.

I tell folks here in Balboa about Stompin' Tom Conners. They don't believe me.

If not for the gigs in Canada, I wouldn't have believed me either. Gotta find that stompin' board again.

Thanks again. It helps me appreciate Bob McAdorey now, though I hadn't known of him till the post.

Adios,
