I've been a fan for about 35 years but due to the fact that I am a complete computer phobe I have never had access (til now) to any discussion boards enabling me to make contact with other fans near or far.
Any Lightfoot fans in the Central New York area??
Hopefully, as I become comfortable with this new (to me) medium I'll be able to make some relevant and cogent contributions.

Hi Jack! (Hijack?) Little joke there. Welcome aboard! My name's Borderstone, just like the song it indicates from the Songbook box set. I've heard GL since I was 6 in 1974 starting with Sundown but until almost 2 years ago,I never really knew how greeat he really was. I knew a handful of hit but I never knew there was more to him than that. So,I got Songbook in 2001 and then saw him live (and met him) last year. After that,I got all his LP's. I'm here in Phoenix,AZ but when you say central NY,I assume you mean the whole state? If so,I am originally from the Erie,PA area. I was a kid when I left but I recall the Great Lakes and miss them and my hometown. Anyways,again,welcome....and have fun! Later!

Welcome Jack (does the 4855 mean you are 48 and born in 55?) I live in central Colorado and have been a fan for nearly as long as I can remember. Annie and Char are the ones who keep all of posted on what is happening in the world of Gord. You will find a very diverse group here but all are Gord fans. Have fun!

I'd have preferred it if I was 48 and born in 55 but it's the other way around. Nice guess though.
I passed through Colorado (Denver) once back in 1982 on my way to California. I only spent one night there but some enterprising thief managed to steal everyhing I owned from the back of my car. Hope he (she) looked good in those Hawaiian shirts.
As a devoted Lightfoot fan I'm hoping for his timely recovery and another opportunity to catch a concert. I had tickets for a November show in Syracuse last year which , of course went by the wayside.
Thanks for the welcome!

I wasn't aware that Gordon Lightfoot fans were known as "Lightheads". Catchy.
As a devoted fan I was hoping to catch his concert in Syracuse at the Landmark last November which, of course, went by the wayside due to the health concerns. Hopefully another chance lies in the future.
Thanks for the welcome and if you're ever in the area check out my morning show on WFRG (Big Frog 104) in Utica. (Always the promoter I guess)

We call the thin strip between Albany and Rochester "Central New York". I should say the various Chambers of Commerce do but we denizens hang our hats on it too.
Thanks for the welcome and, if you have a chance, ship some of that heat of yours up here soon!
