Hello to all you wonderful Lightheads. I am excited to share that I am on a Borderstone countdown. Hopefully, only four weeks from today I will meet the man behind the name. Ken, my mom, Baby our little dog and I will be in Phoenix.

Char, I don't have any pictures to share. As always those very special men were very professional. It was hot and high (the altitude) in Colorado. We only went to the first two shows.

Sometimes I feel like I might come across as bragging if I share what happened at the concerts that were special for me. Gordon has been talking to me from the stage in front of everyone. I yell something to him so he knows I am there and he actually responded this time by saying, "Thank you Dore". Oh my, after all these years. My husband and friends seem to like the exchange almost as much as I do.

That's all I have to share for now. We leave for Portland, Oregon tomorrow and I have to finish laundry, pack clothes and pack kaleidoscopes to ship to our customers.

Yes,folks I spoke with Dore here last night and advised her on the best place to stay here in North Phoenix. She's not going to stay at my old workplace (no pets allowed) :(

I am excited about meting Dream Street Rose here as well as fellow Lighthead! ;) Like the Happenings song said so long ago,"I'll See You,In September"! :cool:

DSR - it's not bragging at all - if anyone takes it as such then we can't do anything about that but I know the vast majority of us all love to hear each others tales about our meetings/concerts/trips/pics etc.
that's why we're all here! to share those wonderful events with those who weren't able to meet up with the "net people', see a concert, or shake a hand, get a pic...
So feel free to share your fabulous memories and impressions...and shout-outs!

Tinkerbell was happy to see you. I bet Gordon had glitter all over him too. Thank you for two wonderful nights. The concerts would not have been the same for me without you there. Next time we need to get the fan stuck in the other side of my hair to even it all out.

I am getting closer to my Borderstone meeting. (Since I started this post about Borderstone I thought I should ,"mention his name in passing").

Okay, you are probably all sick of this thread but I am still so excited. Only about 28 hours and I will be able to deliver all those hugs to Walter. Don't worry, Kathy, Kerstin, Deb and all you other women who have sent me mail asking for me to give Walter hugs. We will only get to spend a few hours together but I will try to remember to have a picture taken and then try to post (but please don't let Sir John know that I will try to do this incase I fail).

Since Rose is now busy with her husband & mom and her dog Baby,traveling to AZ's "white mountains". I thought I'd tell you all how last night went. :)

Rose & co. showed up at 7:20pm,running a tad late but,no sweat. ;) I had time to put my tuxedo on...no wait,that was a Fred Astiare movie! LOL!

Rose gave me hugs for all of you and took two snapshots,which I'm sure she'll post later. Like the three wise men they came baring (bearing?) gifts . Some "real" food for my fridge and cupboards (helping me get away from Chef-boy-ar-dee for a change.) LOL!

I also received a penguin shaped "goodie bag" with 3 GL CDs Shadows-Salute & Sunday Concert + (I finally have "Spin Spin". ) :) Also 2 post cards w/ Gord's pic and a Lightfoot stamp. A box of candy and Gord pics.

Then I helped them find their way too their hotel since i know the area so well. I helped them with luggage and then we ate dinner at a resteraunt called Lonestar,at 9pm where we did a "cheers' with our glasses to new friends.:) I had milk,yum! :)
I also got to speak to Brink for the first time,it was nice talking with you Deb,you're the coolest as well.

A great night all around and I hope it's the start of meeting more of the rest of you here.! It was wonderful to meet you and yours Rose. You are all a true class act :cool:

Alright, Rose is too slow some of the time. We did have a wonderful visit with Borderstone. Kathy in Michigan, you are right Borderstone is very endearing. The cool part for me is that Walter and my husband, Ken seemed to have no problem finding things to talk about.

Ken, Baby and I are on another Borderstone countdown. We leave for Jerome, Arizona in 10 days and will again stop in Phoenix and spend time with Walter. I have promised Brink that we will call and talk to her again.

Well, I have to go and start to think of what to put in Borderstone's "goodie bag".

I am going to try to post a picture of Walter and me. I hope I can do it.

At least you can click on the attachment and see what Borderstone and I look like together. That is how I look after 8 hours in the car. I had wanted to freshen up first but did not have time. That is the story of my life. (LOL)

As far as how my job is going,as of today,quite well. It ws my first solo day on the phone (which I had bad dreams about last night) :eek: and it went better than I thought. The 8 hours just sailed on by,once i put my nervous system back into myself!

Pretty good day and it'll be a great day next week when I see Rose,Ken & Baby again. :)

Hay-lo! ;) Borderstone here. Just off from work a few minutes ago (yes,I live "that" close).

A bit sleepy eyed from last night's visit with Rose,Ken and Baby (arf!) :biggrin: They arrived in town early in the evening and came bearing gifts. :) Oooooohh,gifts!

Anyhow,in the goodie bag,photos from their last visit here,a penguin cup and 2 cds of Summer Side Of Life and Don Qiuxote. :) along with a lovely handful of movies on DVD 7 VHS. Even "Signing In The Rain". Yay! :cool:

I then made like Sacajawea and acted as their guide to their hotel,they unpacked while I chased down baby who seemed to be heading t'words interstate 17! :eek:
I then talked with Deb...Hi Deb! ;)....and then we had a "big!" meal at "The Claim Jumper" restaurant. needless to say we were all full at the end of the night.

After being up since 5am that day I conked out after 10:30pm. If rose was worried,don't be. My work went fine and i got a good employee review today. Which means I now own the place! LOL!!!

Hello my Lighthead friends. Of course spending time Walter is aways a lot of fun. Laughter and silliness all night. The sad part was leaving Phoenix. Hopefully we will be spending a few nights in Phoenix next month to go to the NASCAR race.

I will need a month or so to rest up from all those good hugs. :)

It is with great joy that I let you all know that I will be seeing Borderstone again. Ken and I will leave tomorrow morning for Phoenix to see the race on Sunday. Hopefully we can bring two laptops and if we can make it by 6pm both Walter and I can go into the chat rooms. This is something Walter has wanted to do for a very long time and I am smiling at the thought of making one of his dreams come true.

One thing i've told Rose about that i would love to se happen,is a big grand Lighthead/Lightfoot get together with as many Corfidians as possible! :biggrin:

Food fun and of course,it wouldn;t be complete without all of us taking a turn in standing up and singing a Gordon Lightfoot song or two. Much like American (Canadian)Idol,we'd cheer for the best and tease (in a fun way0 the rest! LOL!

Well this will be my last post in the Borderstone Countdown,so after this one,Rose will finish it up. ;)

It was a good weekend and as Brink & others know,here on the Gord Board.
A very fun and funny near 2 hours before we logged off Corfid.com & went to dinner Friday night with Ken.

Saturday afternoon we ate at IHOP downtown,I got Rose a thank you gift of a GL Complete gretest Hits on cassette (same place i got mine last year.) We then hit a starbucks 9not literally! LOL!) :biggrin: We went to the Botanical garden near the zoo and enjoyed the pleant life,indian huts & butterflies. ;)

Ken 7 Dore made a stop at the local Wal-Mart for PIR (Phoenix Int. Raceway) Sunday and then,diner again and meeting my brother. hated to say g-bye because they wont return to Phoenix until next year. :( Had fun Rose! talk to you soon. :cool:

Yes, this will be my last post in this thread. As always, we had a wonderful time with Walter. He has already told you about the things we did. The weather was perfect and the NASCAR race exciting.

I am a little sad at the thought of not spending time with Walter for a few months. He is one of the most honest, kind and thoughtful people I have ever met. The good news is we are good friends and can still talk and e-mail. :clap: :clap:
