Well I finally figured out how to record myself onto the computer playing the drums to Gordon Lightfoot music.

Good news is that I did it.

Bad news ( or even better news)is that Barry Keane has no worries of me ever taking over lmao!

Listening to myself on Dream Street Rose, some stuff I nailed right on, other stuff well let's not talk about it.. :D

I wonder what Barry sounded like when he first started out?

Anyway when I get the best one cleaned up I'll post a link to it.

Guess I'm not gonna post a link to it my server won't let me.. anyway I have made an MP3 of it. it's only 3MB I can send it by email if anyone wants to hear it... the song is If You Need Me.

PS I left the singing to Gord L... lol just me on drums

Oh come on Gord! You should sing along. 3MB is prettttttyyy big to download, at least for those still living in the dark ages using dial-up like myself.

If you want email me the sound file to iroczpost@hotmail.com and I can put in on my website so people can hear it.

Got it just fine. Thanks. I need to switch computers in a minute and I'll start downloading it. Once done, I'll put the link to it in this thread.

No problem! I uploaded it to my site and put a hyperlink on the text to the sound file.

By the way, this is one of my favorite songs. My girlfriend moved to the US from Maylasia about 10 years ago to get her degrees and when I started dating her she never heard of Lightfoot. I told her that I couldn't date her unless she liked his music (only kiding with her). Needless to say she loves his music now and this is her newest favorite song. Hearing her pronounce his name is quite cute.

Nice Job, Gord! I have always admired drummers. It mystifies me how they can get all four limbs doing something different - I can barely walk and chew gum at the same time

Thanks I think I have figured what I did wrong trying to make a link to this tune. So with that every so often I'll put up a different tune Either here or on my own Lightfoot webpage.

Janice: Thanks... just comes with practice practice practice As with GL he has been singing since he was 5 or so, I've been playing the drums since I was 8

I ask "who's your favorite singer?" and she responds, "Goe-dun Light-fute" and then she giggles about it. Although she's fluent both speaking and writing the English language, she had a hard time pronouncing "Lightfoot" until she saw it written because she said "Lightfoot" doesn't make any sense.
