Default GordQuest 2008 continues for DSR and Ken.

Only three weeks from tonight we will again be in DSR's dream world. Our travels will include the following venues. My sisters will not be with us this time but we are working on a trip in September.

Wed 06/11/08 Chester, WV Mountaineer Race Track & Resort

Thu 06/12/08 Williamsport, PA Community Arts Center

Sat 06/14/08 Vienna, VA Filene Center At Wolf Trap

Sun 06/15/08 Glenside, PA

Please anyone wanting to meet for a few minutes before the concert/concerts send me a PM so I can make sure we make that happens. Hope to hear from you.

Hi DSR,

I think I remember you saying that y'all eat after shows, eh? (country-Canadian that phrase). There will be a few of us meeting for dinner before the Glenside show hopefully at Athena's (Greek joint). Intermission might be a good time to get a corfid picture. I work the next day so we'll be out of there like greased lightning. As far as everyone else scheduled there for that show I'll let them speak for themselves, LOL. We'll be in seats DD 15 & 17.
At one time I tried to get corfid members to post seat numbers and pictures before shows before I was met wth stoney silence...

Bill

WE have to skip Wolf Trap this year but I believe ELizabeth will be there.

Have a great time DSR as I know you will. An article should be written about you in some newspaper for the number of Gordon Lightfoot concerts that you attend, and all the travelling you do to get to these shows.

I remember when The Grateful Deads would go on tour, they had those "DEADHEADS" that would follow them everywhere, really devoted fans...

There was an article in the paper down here recently about this Bob Dylan fan that does just what you do, except I think he had seen him 25 times in all... You do that in almost one year. Really Amazing to me DSR !

lol

I remember going to a blue rodeo concert (one of several) at Massey and sitting in the upper balcony (as pam said, it is pretty neat to perch way up there), anyhow, at a discussion forum many were posting their seat locations and what they would be wearing, etc

anyhow, I printed out a little seat location cheat sheet before leaving for the show and as I sat up there before the show I did a detail survey...I felt like a sniper actually, lol...anyhow, at intermission it was fun to go up and startle a few with a fashionable Massey hello

hey, have a great time dsr, kerstin, moose, bill! you guys are troopers, reminds me of reading of Diane and Jenney's or Char's trekking a few years back, or the Fowles's journey along the GL gig trail earlier in the year....make sure you drop some popcorn along the way so you can find your way back home

I am so happy for you! I guess I'll have to wait until October (Cerritos - I hope), but it's really cool to know that there are other Lightheads out there getting to see The Man (and The Band). If you talk to him, please tell him Hi from Ann in Portland (he probably won't know who you mean but that's okay). Terry might - I gave him an Oregon-shaped magnet to remind them.

But anyway (as I seem to say a lot these days), have a super time! I'll be anxious to hear about your adventures.

Take care

DSR, I'm planning on attending both Michigan shows. Joliet is also a remote possibility. Will you be at any of those?

Don't worry, you won't miss me. We will be front row center and I will be wearing a lavender jacket that screams Gordon Lightfoot all over.

Bill, I don't know where our seats are yet. I will find you before the show starts. I will have a small surprise for you each.

Anyone else want to commit?

Hello my favorite Podunklander,

You made me smile and blush. Thank you for your very kind words. When you have a chance try to figure out where you are meeting us in September.

I agree with that. Then she could meet my sisters, Kathy and Kerstin. I don't think Podunklalnder has met them yet. Poor (or lucky ) Gordon, here we come.

I will also be at both Massachusetts shows and I would love to meet other confid people.I was trying to arrange to see the Michigan shows, but the ridiculous amount of hours and money to fly there, made it impossible. I hope to meet many others there! Sharon
