Summer 76,
The hottest on record, in England.
(Not much fun when you're working in a confined space, with dodgy air conditioning, as I was).
Looking back, most other things were.
young,free and I think able...to enjoy myself.(still do today,but in a domestic enviornment)
Gord was almost has hot..releasing the critically aclaimed summertime dream.
Following his two most successful years.

A couple of years later, the atmosphere was very different. The extremly cold winter of 78-79 was full of working strikes!
Disco and punk was everywhere making life extremly diffucult, for the trad singer songwriters.
Even poor Gord was having a hard time.
With the critics layin' into Endless wire.

Were the 80's better?
Well, thats another post.(Any takers)?

Frank.
