OMG! That has to be the worst rendition of Wreck I've ever heard!

Lol. Who knows, Gord might actually dig it. It sounds like his son's band

Well, I say Bidini's version is twice as horrible because it's twice as looong.

At about the four minute mark, I wondered if I was experiencing the same horror that those poor crewmen had. To that end, the rendition "worked".

I'm not wild over the Reostatics' version, either. But at least they kind of use the same chords and tune. I understand what they were trying to do at 4:00 minutes. The sinking of the ship is the 'climax' (alright guys... settle down...) of the story. Every thing builds up to that point, then slowly subsides on the last verse and eerie sounding outro. I suppose some people would even argue that it was skillfully done. I see little sparks of skill here and there. But they really needed to keep more of the original in there.

Okay, I'm like way late to this thread, as I just stumbled on it while looking for something else... and I'm glad to have heard it. It really makes me appreciate Jag Panzer's much better "shred" metal version of the song. I've been a fan of that one (and of some of Jag Panzer's other works) for years now, and searching the forum I only found one thread where it was mentioned and the video link was dead. There is, however, now a different link that works:

YouTube- Jag Panzer - The Wreck Of The Edmund Fitzgerald
