Very nice. It's a little too rich for my blood, though. If I was going to spend $3000, it would go toward a new 12 string.

But thanks for posting it. Very interesting.

Actually with shipping and insurance it is $3680
but not quite that bad as those are presumably the inferior Australian variety.Alternatively perhaps Catmanron Joveski and Mike Dixon could club together and then one of them could collect it locally and thereby save the shipping costs
John Fowles
Ron twould make a fine centrepiece for the Melbourne Lighthead Gathering I was IM-ing you Aboot last friday

Sorry I should have rechecked the seller does specify US dollars.
This auction does not as one would expect feature in listings of GL items at all but searching for the fitz by full name I found something at only US$50.00 that is possibly within Cathy's budget range and also easier to display being to 1/750th scale (and therefore only 11 1/2 inches long)
(the expensive one is a "huge 68 inches")
:-
auction at:-
http://cgi.ebay.com/Edmund-Fitzgeral...QQcmdZViewItem
John Fowles
Or does anyone fancy some light stimulating reading?...see:-
http://cgi.ebay.com/Rubaiyat-of-Omar...QQcmdZViewItem
the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam

Rendered into English verse by Edward Fitzgerald with illustrations by Edmund Dulac

Oh, but John. I want one that fills the entire spare room... after I make my 21 year old son move out.
