Default song: "every time i hear Gordon Lightfoot...

...i think of you" (Melanie Peterson)

Track 7 is called "Gordon Lightfoot"

http://apps.facebook.com/reverbnatio...elaniepeterson

genre says Folk...sounds like EZ Rock

even though it's not a cover, does Gord get royalties for this?

Very nice, I like this alot . She has a wonderful, sweet voice and it's a fun song. Makes me really glad that I don't have a memory of someone to think of everytime I hear Gordon Lightfoot!

that's a good point, pam....i feel sorry for any who hear GL on radio up here (which is often!) and may even subconsciously have to be reminded of me, lol

well, there are 3 thumbs up for this song in this thread and besides the Lightfoot song by the Guess Who, it's the only song i know of actually called Gordon Lightfoot, so i feel obligated to bring it back to the top for folks who just drop by weekly or biweekly...enjoy

I always think of taking a long drive on a nice breezy, sunny autumn day in northeastern USA.

Gordon Lightfoot = cozy!

Thanks for posting this, jj.

I definitely like this song. It's great to see the live version. The issue of the sound quality aside, The version on Melanie's website, seems to be sung a bit higher, with a tremor in her voice at times . . . adds an element of vulnerability IMHO.

hi brian...same key live vs studio but i agree, that vocal compression in studio (and not having to battle over the band volume and depend on monitors to even hear oneself) makes for quite a diff

at least gord doesn't have to battle over the volume of his live band, lol

i think the other live version is more appealing, but too bad the studio version link is now dead... i didnt realize this new link was also from 5 years ago... some things take a while to go viral
