Hi all,

I am going into the hospital tomorrow to have a 2 cm brain tumour removed from the fourth ventricle (back of the head). It kind of looks like a golf ball sitting in the cup, so they've decided to whip it out. I've had a lot of headaches and dizziness lately - far too much in fact, so after a couple of cat scans and an MRI, I've been booked for prep on Wednesday and the operation is Thursday. They don't know if they can get it all, as it's in a tricky spot, but my surgeon is excellent and I have a lot of confidence in her. I'll be out of action till sometime in December, so I'll drop y'all a note when I can string some intelligent sentences together.

Uh yeah, not that I could do that in the first place, but there's always hope!!!

- David

(I have lots of Al Stewart and Gordon Lightfoot MP3s, and a few good books to see me through my stay.)

Blimey, David, you sure know how to shock!
Will be thinking of you, praying for you and sending healing thoughts - and the candle will be burning until you are back home, and fully well.
Blessings,

All the best to you David. Jees, this is a blow to hear. My sister had a brain tumor removed, some 15 years ago. She is in tip top shape...

Hang in there buddy, Jesse-Joe thinking of you, and we will read your new posts again later on, when you get back...

David,

As someone who has just been releaced from a 6 month hospital stay with neuroogical problems of my own, I can sympathize to some degree. Each illness manifests itself differently and each person has to find their own inner strength to get through it all.

Of all my close lifelong childhood friends and even relatives, the greatest number of prayers and the most sincere concerns came from my 'Corfid' family. My wife would reduce me to tears as she broght in yet more 'Get Well' cards and e-mails from this very special group of people.

You will have people praying for your complete recovery from all around the world - no doubt about it!

If you don't mind the loving intrusion, leave us your e-mail and 'snail mail' address so that you can receive the same heartfelt warmth that got me through those bleak rainy days when nobody visited and the phone sat silent.

My prayers will be with you daily, as I selfishly continue to pray for my own miracles.

Yuri

Hey David,
sounds like your atittude is right... a little bit of humor is good medicine.
I regret that I don't know you better, but I can offer my prayers... it's the least I can do and the most I can do.
Peace be with you my friend,

We'll all be thinking of you; sounds like you've got a good neurosurgeon, good attitude and good support at home. Here's hoping for a speedy and complete recovery!

Best of luck with that, David.
It just amazes me what doctors can do now days! Keep your spirits up, and do what your doctors and therapists tell you to do, even if you don't feel like doing it!

Mia sent an update today. The op. went very well and David is now in intensive care. Next 24 hours is critical but everybody is very optimistic.
Keep the prayers going, guys.
