Does anyone know if Gord has a tattoo on the inside of his right arm. Watching the video "Live in Reno" towards the end when he raises his arm to wave to the crowd, I could swear I saw a tattoo, if so, does anyone know what it is? Just curious!

He DID have one, inside his right forearm, since removed. As was posted in the newsgroup somewhere or other (1997):

- "Tattoo": The tattoo is still below his right bicep, but it doesn't look much like a rose any more (it's pretty gnarly and faded). He had the tattoo done in a hangover fog, as a tribute to Cathy Coonley, on the notion that it would patch things up between them. It didn't.

Can't say when, exactly, he had it done - others here may have more info - but my guess is late 70s, early 80s.

I also heard that he had it removed, but when I saw him on Much More Music which was "fairly" recent I am sure that I saw it there. I did notice it on the Reno DVD also, but I don't know what tatoos look l;ike after they've been lasered.

He still has a tattoo on the inside of his forearm. The rose was removed, but it's not the same tattoo you're seeing on the Reno DVD.

What is the new tatoo? You're so lucky to get that close to look <envy>.

What new tattoo? As far as I know, the one on his forearm has been there a long time. I don't remember what it is. Seems to me it's some kind of geometric design in blue ink. I might be wrong, though.

Yes, that's what it looks like to me, too. Can't tell, though.

The top of his left arm, near his shoulder.

And here for your sake I was hoping that you saw that tatoo in a little more personal place.
I'll have to watch Harry Tracy's bathtub scene and see if it shows.

I was trying to get a good peek myself (wasn't interested in the tattoo, heh heh), and just then my kid came in the room, so I had to just let the scene go by -- it was a very short one (darn it!).

I can guarantee you he had no tattoos as of mid-1977! And as for wicked smiles and rolling his sleeve back, believe me, he's not shy about the human body or showing it off, at least long ago, but from what vlmagee relates, he hasn't changed much!
