Perhaps "Canada's Radio Station" is a place to start. The CBC or Canadian Broadcasting Corporation has always promoted Canadian talent and it's home page can be found at the URL below

There is a specific site for "Canadian Musicians & New and Burgeoning Indie Music Scene". Although Gord is well established, perhaps this "Radio 3" site might be willing to revisit those who helped create this music scene. Try the URL below.

Finally, those who haven't yet, you may wish to explore some of the CBC archives specific to "Lightfoot" found below.
http://search.cbc.ca/search?ie=&site...rdon+lightfoot
Somewhere on all the CBC pages is a "Contact Us" function and if enough Lightheads write in, perhaps we can "Make it So" for our "No.1"
Other radio stations, perhaps some promoting folk music, are no doubt out there. I'll leave it to those that are more ambitious to search them out.
Great idea!
We could also write into all appropriate Canadian papers
In Toronto they would be;
The Globe and Mail
The Toronto Star
The National Post
The Toronto Sun*
*(who, through their parent 'Canoe' site, just held the "essential vinyl" survey of a few days ago which many of you participated in)
-suggest an article on his 68th birthday, the upcoming Massey concert, or both!
I've not had any influence in trying to sway them in the past. Perhaps there is strength in numbers (and in worldwide interest). Finding specific URLs are up to those so inclined.
Good luck on any endevour!
