Default Farewell David Bowie (1947-2016)

It's 4:00pm here in Phoenix and I've just logged on and read about this.

My mood has just sunk like a boulder into the water. Only
3 days after his birthday, it's almost to impossible to believe.

This comes only about 2 months after I was fortunate enough to find a 2 CD set
of his music from the 1990s, featuring just about any great track you can think of.

My David Bowie listening started late, when he came back in 1983 with,
"Let's Dance" I had no clue who he was at all, being only days away from age 15.

I found out more about the man & performer overtime and came to like his older music as well as the new. I'm one of the few who actually likes both hi 70s and 80s output equally. (Even 1997s "I'm Afraid Of Americans".
=========================================
His 13 Top 40 hits in the U.S. were these :

1. Space oddity (Major Tom) #15
2. Young Americans #28
3. Fame #1 (2 weeks)
4. Golden Years #10
5. Under Pressure (Queen w/David Bowie) #29
6. Let's Dance (#1 One week)
7. China Girl #10
8. Modern Love #14
9. Blue Jean #8
10. This Is Not America (Pat metheny & David Bowie) #32
11. Dancing In The Street (Mick Jagger & David Bowie) #7
12. Day In, Day Out #21
13. Never Let me Down #27

He certainly deserved more.

As most will say, He wa truly one of a kind. Is it fair he's gone so
seemingly soon? It feels like it to me but others may say, hey that's life for you.

David joins Natalie Cole,Actor Wayne Rogers and comedic
actor Pat Harrington Jr. ....in a year that's only 11 days in.

We thank you not only for the music David but for also
showing the world, that it's truly okay to be different and unique.

R.I.P. David Jones/ Ziggy Stardust and David Bowie.

Bowie's "Let's Dance" video was filmed at Carinda (700Km or 400 miles north-west of Sydney) in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Back then in the early 1980s, it had a population around 100. Today, after years of drought etc, its population is around 40.
