Default Charlotte setlist

A different level of energy with this concert compared to Tuesday. Perhaps the rest day was the trick. Gordon's voice was stronger, and spirits seemed lighter.

Sweet Guinevere
Cotton Jenny
Sea of Tranquility
Drifters
Don Quixote
Clouds of Loneliness
Wild Strawberries
Beautiful
Shadows
Let It Ride
Ring Them Bells
Watchman
Wreck
Carefree Highway

Drink Yer Glasses Empty
Now & Then - and this is where it got weird. The sound board got possessed or something. Stuff went in & didn't come out, monitors weren't working. Never seen such at a GL concert. So they took 5, and then 5 more. Most of the time he stayed on stage, strumming, while the sound guy tried one thing & another. Folks were hollering that it was fine, they didn't care. Which, of course, was not the point. It was not right & needed to suit the artist. In time it was sorted out and he started over from the beginning, and - perfection.
Ribbon of Darkness - the over me guy chimed in again. Is he a plant?
Sundown
All the Lovely Ladies
I'd Rather Press on
Couchiching
If You Could Read My Mind - the first standing ovation
Restless
Baby Step Back
Canadian Railroad Trilogy - standing ovation

Encore - Rainy Day People

The "over me guy" is a quintuplet and he and his bothers really get around. You can tell when they haven't shown up because there are a few feeble attempts and then, of course, someone comes to the rescue as if on cue. So I can see why you suspect a set-up but Gordon would never stoop to that level...

I'm pretty sure I know who that was singing in the audience..I know he was at the concert and he's 'sung out' at Massey several times over the years...one time scaring me half to death when he was sitting right behind me..lol..

Great! Thanks Char. We'll be there in Dallas Wed. night. That's if we don't get more ice.
