Tom Petty goodbye

Yet another classic rock-star has died. I liked Tom's songs especially after my niece Christy reacquainted me with his Greatest Hits CD back, in 1995? Now I play them all the time on road trips. May his songs live on.

I was shocked to hear this news. I like Tom Petty too - grew up watching him on MTV. You can't listen to the radio for 15 mins without hearing one of his songs. He seemed like a nice guy too.

Re: Tom Petty goodbye

The best tribute to Tom Petty that I can think of is to display one of Jimmy Fallon's impressions from last year,. I knew it was on YouTube but today it was missing (except for an "official" audio only version) some googling later I found a copy on Daily Motion so I downloaded it using the French website
https://www.telechargerunevideo.com/en/
which worked a treat I then reuploaded it to YouTube but it was then promptly blocked by NBC on copyright grounds so I can only give you the currently functional link to Daily Motion. do watch it I found it hilarious
grest Daily Motion videos are also displayed on corfid!!

My (late) tribute .....

Just that I'd heard Tom Petty since Refugee came
out and I truly dug the music and I have all of the hits.

Wish I could have seen him perform but the next best thing I have is a recording of the
ABC series 'ABC In Concert' (1991-1998) and his and the Heartbreakers 1992 appearance.

It was a 2 part show which a few years ago I transferred over
from VHS to DVD (with over 20 tapes of other things I recorded off of TV.

An awesome show and Tom & them sounding great.

Sorry it took so long but it was news that truly brought me and milions down.

RIP Tom.
