He nails it fer sure! It is so hilarious to be in the audience and hear him do it live. People are cracking up and saying - "oh my god, he sounds just like Gord!" I wish there was a recording of Billy Joel doing Gord singing Alberta Bound - it is dead on too and just as funny.

Char,
It's one thing to hear someone doing Gord's music and trying to sound like him, but this really tops everything. He has Gord down so well it's disgusting, right down to the emphasis on the word "never". what a TOTAL HOOT!!!!

You're right Chuck!
I've seen Burton many, many times over the years and he is a great performer. He writes some pretty great lyrics to ballads and rock songs. If you get past his ego and know about him he is very funny and entertaining.Even his egotistical attitude is charming now that he's older and you realize that when he talks about the accomplishments of the Guess Who and his solo career the stats are very impressive indeed! I love that album - we saw him in Ajax when that was just about to be recorded and he was really pumped about it.The Guess Who just started a reunion tour last week and from all accounts they were fantastic.
