Having listened to 'the greatest hits' and 'if you could read my mind love' where do you guys recommend I go next for kicks ? IYCRMML is great -reminds me a bit of James Taylor at around the same period, Mud Slide Slim perhaps- consistent right the way through but more varied in texture. Great guy, great guitar, great voice.

Well, you could try his boxed set, Songbook. It covers his entire career, starting with selections from 1962 when he was still an unknown, up through 1998, A Painter Passing Through. I'm a true believer in starting at the beginning and working through his entire catalog. The United Artist Collection is another good place to start. It's a double CD set consisting of his first four albums. Once you get through those, go for his early Warner Brothers CDs, but hurry, as some of these are becomming hard to find.
Look at the discography section on http://www.gordonlightfoot.com for his WB albums.
Have fun!
