It's arrived - it's fabulous - order yours now www.northernblues.com
or www.borealisrecords.com

I'm so happy that Gord is able to enjoy it too!
The performers are known to most Canadians but I'm sure all of you will love their versions of these songs as well.
Murray McLauchlans "Home From The Forest" is making me weepy - along with the liner notes he wrote about the song it's quite beautiful.

Thanks for posting, Char. I'm definitely going to look into this...especially with Christmas just a few months away. What's your favorite rendition so far?

I have it too and have posted a review at my Lightfoot web site. I have two clips up, and will add a few more when I have a few minutes. My favorite is CRT (as I say in the review). It's my favorite Lightfoot song, and James Keelaghan does a fantastic job with it. I mention my other favorites too. It's a very nice CD; you'll enjoy it.

I love Ron Sexsmith singing "Drifters". It's lovely. Murray McLauchlan sings "Home From The Forest" and it is quite haunting if you read the liner notes of his. Aengus Finnan's original composition "Lightfoot" is a moving tribute to Gord - he should be very proud.
All in all it's a fabulous collection!

Hi Val,

Just read your review of the Tribute Album and it sounds great! The only thing I noticed was that you mention Ron Sexsmith's cover of "Drifters" was released on Lightfoot's 1993 album "Waiting for You" when in fact, as you know, it came out on "A Painter Passing Through" in 1998. Can't wait to hear it! ]

Whoops! Thanks for catching that. Well, that's two careless errors. They say things happen in threes ...
