Anyone named Barry McLoughlin on this forum? I know he's a Lightfoot fan, but also a musician with music of his own as well.

He usually posts on the Yahoo groups. Yes, he's a musician, and a pretty good one at that.

He might be a musician, but he's not the Barry folks are talking about in the "Favorite fade-offs" thread. That Barry is Barry H - Gord's bandmember.

Barry said it was okay to post this message and to log into Folk Alley and cast him your vote! He also said thanks for your interest and the support!

"Very cool Mary and thank you. I look forward to hearing your uploaded master tracks. I tell you, this Folk Alley contest is getting heated. LOL

You and your friends support is appreciated (if they enjoy my original song "5th Avenue"). They may simply visit, log -in, and lock-in their votes at:

http://www.folkalley.com/openmic/finals/

12 songs out of roughly 1300 songs made it through to the final round of Folk Alley's Open Mic Contest. My "5th Avenue" is one of the contenders. And yes, the winner shall be making an appearance at Kent State's 40th Annual Folk Festival in November.

I'm currently sitting in 6th place. I did join a number of Lightfoot groups way back and corfid does ring a bell

Have an inspired weekend,
Barry

p.s. the voting deadline of August 28th at 5:00 p.m. is rapidly approaching "

Stephanie has posted about Barry M on the relatively useless (due to its limited circulation/membership) "fan club" Yahoo group in her message at:-

and moreover repeated it here only 10 days ago at:-

In reply to her Yahoo message another folk alley musician and contestant
Paul Farnham revealed his entry see:-

which gave a link to:-

Hi everyone,
I posted a repy to John's message on yahoo fan club site and I am sorry for misspelling Barry's last name. I am still spreading the word about the contest on folk alley to others that I know. Barry is a true Gord fan and Paul did reply to the email and 2 others and I would like to say thank you and hope that others will get a chance to go the folk alley site.
